T he Guest-house Am Lindenbaum is situated in Lichtenhain, part of the beautiful municipality of Kirnitzschtal right next to Saxon Switzerland national park. We're easily reached by car as well as by public transport (bus/train).

If you are travelling by car we recommend the following route:

From West, North and East take the Autobahn (motorway) to Dresden, then turn onto Autobahn A17 (1) bound for the Czech Republic. Take exit Pirna (2)and shortly after follow Bundesstrasse (federal highway) B172 (3) to Bad Schandau (turn right). In Bad Schandau cross the bridge over the river Elbe and continue on the federal highway until you come to the first possible fork to the left (4). Turn left and follow the road in the direction of Sebnitz. To do so turn left at the second fork ('Hotelroute I'). The road now leads out of the Elbe valley. In Lichtenhain stay on the bypass (left again). Right behind the second fork, a triangle, on a slight bend you'll find our guesthouse on the right hand side of the road (5).-->
Alternatively you can take exit Burkau on Autobahn A4 and reach us via the towns of Bischofswerda, Neustadt and Sebnitz.
From the South (Czech Republic) you can either take Autobahn A17 to Pirna and continue as described above or you cross the border at Hrensko/Schmilka (6). In Bad Schandau pass the market square and turn right at the next cross road following the signs in the direction of Sebnitz (right again, then left). Continue as described above.

If you are travelling by public transport:

The nearest railway station connected to the bus system is situated in Bad Schandau. Several international Eurocity trains (Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria) stop there daily. If you cannot use one of them you will have to change to subway S1 bound for Schöna in Dresden.
In front of Bad Schandau railway station there is a bus stop of line 260 bus going to Sebnitz. Take one of these to Lichtenhain. From the bus stop here it's just 80 metres back to our guesthouse.
